56 Pharmaceutical Technology Edición Sudamérica 2025 - N º196 Si bien este tipo de emulsiones tienen un gran poten - cial para desarrollar formulaciones innovadores, tanto medicamentos como cosméticos, y que su fabricación no requiere procesos costosos (se utilizan los mismos que para las emulsiones tradicionales) es claro que es necesario realizar más investigación para conocer mejor el balance riesgo/beneficio que presentan estas nuevas formulaciones. Así mismo, se necesita un avance en el aspecto regulatorio, junto con una mayor oferta y precio más asequible de partículas fabricadas bajo los estánda - res que solicitan las agencias reguladoras. Sobre todo, se pretende tener en el mercado productos farmacéuticos o cosméticos estabilizados por partículas como las PkEm. Bibliografía 1.
